At the Hospital

“you mean to say I’m still a virgin?”, Fiyin asked as Dr Susan examined her

“Yes Fiyin, from the examination I just did, it’s clear you weren’t raped”, Dr Susan said and I was surprised as well.

“But I was naked under the blanket”, Fiyin said as her eyes got wet

“But you would still take her blood sample right? to know if she has any STDs”, I asked and Dr Susan nodded

“I think God deserved to be praised, you are not pregnant nor were you raped and now you have no STDs”, Dr Susan said as she closed the file.

“I’m still worried”, Fiyin said looking at her.

“About what dear?”, Dr Susan asked

“What if someone had taken nude pictures of me and they later try to threaten me with it? “, Fiyin asked with fear laced in her voice.

“That could happen but still, we have nothing to worry about, Philippians 4;6 says be anxious for nothing but in everything with prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God , so cast all your anxieties on God because He cares for you, give your worry to God in prayer and He will come through for you”, Dr Susan said and I got faith to believe God would take care of what is impossible for us to do.


“Can I have your number? “, I said as we were about to leave her office.

“Sure and do give me yours as well”, Dr Susan said and I smiled
